i got a dozen roses from a friend after i had surgery and all of the sudden one of my roses just like exploded, like all of the petals fell off at once. i was wondering if there was any like symbolism or meaning for that.

I know at one point in the 1800s or earlier the women would use rose petals to make them smell good, like perfumes we use today. I’m just wondering how to do that with rose petals today? I know theres perfume-but I just want to do something different.

Can anyone tell me how many different coloured roses are there? I have seen black roses but are they real or just white roses dyes black?? Please tell me which are real and which are dyed.

are at least 3 long woody branches (about 15 ft.in length) which have flowered this summer. I’d like to get it under control but I’m not sure how to trim (or should I say cut back) woody branches without ruining the plant. Any advice?
