This is a large plant and I’ve had it for 3 years. I don’t understand why it’s getting soft on only part of the root. Can someone please try to assist me. I don’t want this plant to die. Thanks

I’m following the rules of watering cactus every times it dries out. But he leaves get yellow. The plant is only 3 weeks old, potted in a clay pot. I don’t want to lose it. What can I do?
